Sometimes as a cyclist your sanity is questioned. Why would you ride on the road? What do you gain from riding so many miles? Was there any reason you rode there? What alot of those questions uncover is the fact that to cycle you have to be determined. These winter months have all been about getting the miles in, getting out on the road whenever you can. Sometimes you question your own sanity, when you see snow and ice at the edge of the road you have to wonder what you’re doing. Now that the weather has improved the drive has to remain. You can lose a wheel on a club ride and wear yourself down trying in vain to catch the group ahead instead of soft pedaling and waiting for those behind. Then to make sure you get some more miles in that week you push your aching legs around for three hours just to find even a percent of Eddy’s condition. That’s cycling for you.
